Meerut: At least 400 patients have to be admitted under Ayushmann Bharat Yojana every month, instructed the principal of Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial (LLRM) Medical College, following a meeting with state health officials over video conferencing.
Doctors will also have to pay a penalty of a day’s salary if they arrive half-an-hour late and they have to remain in the hospital from 8 am- 4 pm every day. In order to make sure that no patient is turned away from the hospital, a target of patients to be admitted has been given along with necessary instructions to admit and discharge the patients only through the e-hospital process.
The Principal of LLRM Medical College, Dr. R C Gupta brought to the notice of the doctors that in the backdrop of the video conference with state health officials, they are now strictly instructed to ensure that all doctors reach the medical college by 8 am every day and those who reach after 8.30am will have to pay a penalty of a day’s salary. He further talked about the instructions meted out to ensure that no patient is deprived of healthcare from the hospital under the Ayushmann Bharat Yojana and to make sure that at least 400 patients are admitted under the scheme.
Instructions to follow see the e-hospital process has also been given out, so that review of the progress of patients can be done online.
