Australia has its name all over the three match series against Sri Lanka, after winning the last match today. Sri Lanka was sent to bat where they made 142 runs for 6 wickets. Australia went ahead of the target, making 145 runs from 3 wickets by the 17th over- a total of 14 balls left still.
The home team had won the first match at Adelaide by as many as 134 runs, without breaking a sweat. The team went on to reserve the win over the series as they won the second match in Brisbane by nine wickets. And on Friday, they wrapped up the series on a high, winning the match with 14 balls to spare.
Talking about Sri Lanka, they did wrap up the series with some credit and the team sure did better than the other two matches they had in the series- particularly the first one. They got three important wickets, especially of Australian stars Smith and Aaron Finch.
David Warner was named Player of the Series, and deservingly so, with 100 runs in the first match, 60 in Brisbane and 57 on Friday.
