After a few hours of reports breaking out in corners of the web about the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi being killed in a secret operation by US special forces, American president Donald Trump confirmed that the reports are true.
As per the reports, US special forces was tipped off of the location of Abu Bakr after they had captured and questioned a member. The information turned out to be true and the US commandos had a successful raid.
In the raid of Abu Bakr’s safe-spot in west Syria, he was reportedly cornered in a tunnel and seeing no escape or help, he killed himself and three of his kids with his suicide jacket. 11 kids in the place were taken away uninjured.
“He died like a dog, he died like a coward,” Trump said, “World is a much safer place to live in now.”
In the middle of the criticisms that Trump has been facing for pulling the US troops out from Northern Syria before a possible war a week or so ago, this came out as a major victory for him.
The operation was pleasantly welcomed by world leaders. Only Pakistan had stated it is yet to see if Abu Bakr is really dead.
