In the Early hours of September 14th Saudi Arabia Witnessed the significant military events which bordered near Persian Gulf. Over a dozens of drones were launched by Houthis , they are the Iran Backed Yememi rebel group, they slammed into a large Onion-shaped spheroids which are used to process crude oil in Abaqiq, which is the largest crude oil facility and khurais which is second largest oil field.
The attacks on Saudi Arabia were triggered with Blazing fires , which caused the refinery to shut down. The attack was aimed at striking world’s biggest oil producer.
However Military analysts had warned about this warfare with weaponised drones, of which the target was not just the aircrafts, tanks & Soldiers , but also striking the important installations such as airbases, logistics Hub and ammunition Dumps. An attack costing not more than $150,000 (assuming each drone cost $10,000), put together by the Houthis, wreaked damage worth billions.
This was however not the first attack , Syria as well faced an attack Russian Forces On January 6th 2018, which had a swarm of 13 arms fixed -wing drones which attacked the Hmeimim air base and the Tartus navel.
The strikes, believed to be the world’s first UAV swarm attacks, were repulsed by Russian forces, who reported similar attacks in April, June and August last year, in which a total of 47 drones were shot down
