Dehradun: Central Health Minister sent a team to take stock of the situation of dengue cases in the state of Dehradun. Dengue cases have been on a rampant rise in Dehradun and the problem is becoming bigger each day.
Even in the state capital, 22 new dengue cases were reported to be positive which brings in light an alarming situation.
Due to the startling number of cases of dengue being reported from Dehradun, the central vector born disease department had been notified of the situation.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. SK Gupta spoke to TOI saying that the district health department wrote to the central vector born disease department in order to have them visit the sites and extend their help to the health department to tackle and combat the outbreak.
The CMO also added that central vector born disease department sent their team who paid a visit to their office on Wednesday and that they will lead the inspection of some sites where reports of dengue cases have been slightly higher.
She even talked about their plans to organize a workshop for the city doctors at Gandhi Shatabdi Hospital in order to brief and sensitize them about the on-going situation.
On the other hand, on Wednesday, 3623 households have been inspected by the health department in various localities of Dehradun. Out of those households, the Dengue larva was discovered in 104 houses.
