Addressing the Delhi IITans on the 50th convocation, K Sivan, the Chairperson of the Indian Space Research Organization gave motivating and empowering speech to the students, asking them to learn from their failures as a part of their success plan. Going ahead, he said that ISRO is not giving upon mission Chandrayaan 2, referring to the recent mission for moon, that had failed in the last minutes. It sure was a big failure for him and the entire ISRO team had shared those gloomy moments when Chandrayaan lost connection
He said that ISRO would be trying to have a softer landing this time, and that the organization has received very valuable information from the project, which would be immensely helpful while it attempts to succeed in a smoother landing of Chandrayaan 2.
Going ahead, he described the importance of developing various skills. Sivan suggested students to go ahead with the industry or field that reflects their interests and passion. He believes, however, passion can’t do anything by itself- skills and strengths have to be developed equally and distractions must be eliminated.
