Marcelinho’s 81st minute goal from a free-kick gave Hyderabad FC an unexpected late goal, putting them in the lead and ultimately getting the team the win. The match was held at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.
In what was a decently exciting match, Hyderabad had first taken the lead with a goal through Marko Stankovic. Rahul KP got an equalizer for Kerala Blasters before half-time, in the 34th minute, making the match pretty much of a challenge once again for both the teams.
But then, Marcelinho’s goal between the last few minutes of the second half sure saved the day for Hyderabad FC.
After losing 2 matches in a row, Hyderabad FC would sure have been hoping to return home to this match, expecting a win against the opposite team and that is exactly what the team got. This is the first win that the team has had in this season’s ISL and that too in front of the home city crowd- what a best way to have their first in the ISL series!
