After the shock the Congress party went through upon the arrest of former Union Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram in money laundering case, yet another key leader of Congress party, D.K. Shivakumar got arrested after the five days of questioning by ED (Enforcement Directorate). Shivakumar was summoned by ED in New Delhi regarding the alleged connection with the Rs. 7 Crore money laundering case. His petitions submitted to Karnataka High Court seeking a countermeasure for the summons, but were declined on Thursday. Shivakumar stated that its his duty to comply and the whole situation is nothing but a conspiracy against him by the opposition.
