Seat sharing pact was announced in upcoming Maharashtra elections. NCP Sharad Pawar said two parties will contest for 125 seats while leaving 38 seats for allies.
Maharashtra has total of 288 seats in the assembly.Both Congress and NCP has been clattered by the drubbing Lok Sabha polls in Maharashtra and spate of defection from their ranks.
The decision has reshaped Maharashtra’s political landscape. As many as 24 senior leaders including 13 serving legislators and 10 former Minister have defected to join either BJP or shiv sena.
