In his home state of Gujarat, the prime minister spent his birthday. At the Sardar Sarovar Dam, which filled capability for the first time, the day began with prayers to goddess Narmada. He later toured the Unity Statue, where he spoke and rallyed. He finished his journey home with his nonagenarian mom sharing a meal.
PM Modi, who arrived Monday night in Gujarat, started the day with a visit to the Unity Statue and the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada River. He launched the Statue of Unity, billed as the highest in the globe, on last year’s birthday of Sardar Patel on October 31. He also tweeted a clip of his helicopter’s statue.
PM Modi’s first formal company of the day was to participate in the’ Namami Devi Narmade Mahotsav’ of the Gujarat government to mark the complete ability of the Sardar Sarovar dam. Accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, PM Modi conducted “puja” at the dam site to “welcome” the river Narmada water, Gujarat’s lifeline.
